About a model of Riga Free Port made by SIA Models Park. Breadboard model of Riga Free Port manufactured by SIA Models Park has been exhibited in the main building of management of Riga Free Port since 2000. It’s already five years this model has been demonstrating a process of improvement of the port’s infrastructure and an efficient way in which the port’s premises were designed in the frame of the port’s development. Explanatory information accompanying the model is rendered in a clear and easily understood way which helped in discussions between professionals and many times made it easier for non-specialists to grasp the problems of a city planning. When one studies volumes of instructions, more than one hundred pages each, it’s very difficult to form a whole idea of the object. A model – is a step forward in the direction of a multi - dimentional thinking.
